Humidity sensing properties of the bi-metallic nanocomposite thin films of Yttria stabilized Zirconia towards humidity at room temperature have been studied.
The sensing mechanism is administered by the porosity of the thin film.
The minimum crystallite size was estimated as 5 nm by XRD and TEM analysis and 2 nm by Particle Size Analyser.
Reproducibility of results ∼ 94%.
Transmission properties of YSZ have been investigated first time.
Method for synthesis of material is easy and cost effective.
