CFD study of the flow pattern in an ultrasonic horn reactor: Introducing a realistic vibrating boundary condition

文摘
CFD was used to predict the acoustic streaming and the cavitation induced by an UHR. A realistic boundary condition was proposed to model the horn tip deflection. A modified cavitation model and turbulent viscosity are used in the CFD simulations. PIV technique was used for both analysis and validation of the numerical simulation. The influence of ultrasonic power on the fluid recirculation pattern is discussed.
