Small model size effects are sources of low accuracy of atomistically-based modeling. Critical model size exists below which unrealistic behavior manifests. Accuracy is validated by comparison with 2D crack LEFM and hole analytic solutions. This finding is due to the XGP method which can make model size as large as needed. Developing a design guideline requires wide use of XGP to improve solution accuracy.
