Assessment of ACE-inhibitory potential of tyrosine- and tryptophan-dipeptides. Whey peptides show stronger inhibition than those from soy- and rice protein. Whey peptides inhibit circulating and local tissue ACE. Overall inhibitory effect is largely contributed by dipeptide IW. Dipeptides applied as food additives may prevent or delay vascular aging.
