Manganese-52 produced on a small medical cyclotron and purified with 94% recovery. Distribution coefficients for Mn2+ and Cr3+ in ethanol-HCl mixtures presented. AG1×8 remediation column removes common trace metal impurities. 52Mn-DOTA forms rapidly in a range pf physiologically relevant pH's in ammonium acetate solution. 52Mn-DOTA stable more than 2 days in bovine serum.
