Meta-analysis of three consecutive generations of cultured all-male (ZZ) M. rosenbergii supports the feasibility of monosex aquaculture. At harvest of each of the cultured generations, the typical M. rosenbergii population structure comprising three male morphotypes was obtained. Normal anatomical and molecular features were recorded for the third cultured generation of all-male M. rosenbergii.
