Pathophysiological effects of scorpion venom on the cardiovascular system evaluation Biventricular and aortic alterations and metabolic perturbations were observed. Oxidative stress, cytokines and metalloproteinases expression were observed. The involvement of AngII and its AT1R was investigated. AngII and AT1R were involved in the cardiovascular perturbations induced by venom.
