Joint design of kT-points trajectories and RF pulses under explicit SAR and power constraints in the large flip angle regime

The simultaneous optimization of RF pulses and kT-points placement is performed.

The non-linear flip angle regime is investigated.

Hardware and specific absorption rate constraints are enforced explicitly.

The method allows decreasing substantially the inhomogeneity of the excitation.

The method is validated experimentally by using Quantum Process Tomography at 7T.
