An energy diagram of ZnO bars where defects and optical absorption are proposed. The incorporation of HTT increases Zni0 and/or VO0 shallow donors. The use of HTT change Oi defect into OZn defect. HTT promotes the migration of zinc ions from intrinsic sites to interstitial sites. ZnO sub-microbars with a high photocatalytic activity are possible.
