Surface alloying of immiscible elements, Ag/Ni(100), is investigated by STM. Near equilibrium configurations exhibit two island populations: ON and IN. A Wulff model is used to explain the circular and spindle-shaped islands. Anisotropic step free energies are calculated using Molecular statics simulations.
