MS increased pain sensitivity in adult male mice. OT increased pain threshold and this effect was abolished by atosiban treatment. Acute RS increased the pain threshold in control (and not MS) mice. OT normalized the pain response to RS in MS mice. This normalization effect could be reversed by OT and/or opioid antagonist.
