Superhydrophilic behavior of TiO2 in visible light is obtained by DC-glow discharge plasma exposure.
The hydrophilic property of plasma exposed TiO2 films mainly depend upon the nanometer scale surface roughness and dangling bonds.
A corresponding change in the surface energy with plasma exposure is also obtained.
These films show better antifogging properties as well.
