Two flavonoid compounds from Pappea capensis were isolated and identified. One of the isolated compounds epicatechin exhibited higher antioxidant activity in the β-carotene-linoleic acid. Little to no cytotoxicity of the extracts and isolated compounds against Vero kidney cells was observed.
