文摘
Dietary lipid control is required for arresting diabetic retinopathy (DR) hazards. Uncontrolled diabetes causes weight loss, indicating lower or apparently normal body mass index (BMI). Normal BMI of patients with DR can be mistaken for correct dietary lipid intake. This study shows novel correlation of serum apolipoprotein A-I and B levels and Subjective Global Assessment (SGA) scores. SGA scores reflect lipid defects in patients with DR even when BMI is apparently in the normal range.
