Shear behavior of a notched stiffened composite panel by a 3D intra-laminar gradual degradation numerical model. Accounting for the real 3D stress state, failure onset and propagation in composites in a mesh independent FE Analysis. A User Defined Material Subroutine (USERMAT) has been used to implement the proposed approach within the FE code ANSYS©. Analysis of the failure mechanisms driving the damage evolution, in composite laminates with pre-existent damage.
