Fe NPs were successfully synthesized using Eichhornia crassipes leaf extracts by single-step. Fe NPs were used for the removal of Cr(VI). 89.9% of Cr(VI) was removed using Fe NPs. A removal mechanism for Cr(VI) was proposed which involved adsorption and reduction.
