Immunoexpression of BMP-2 and BMP-4 and their receptors, BMPR-IA and BMPR-II, in ameloblastomas and adenomatoid odontogenic tumors
文摘
We analyzed the expression of BMPs-2 and -4 and their receptors (BMPR-IA and BMPR-II) in SAs, UAs, and AOTs. BMP-2, BMP-4, BMPR-IA and BMPR-II were detected in all cases studied. BMPs-2 and -4 and their receptors play an important role in the differentiation and development of ameloblastomas and AOTs. These proteins may not explain the different biological behaviors of these lesions. Alterations in the regulatory mechanisms of BMPs may contribute to their overexpression in ameloblastomas and AOTs.
