Runup is assessed over a range of tide, beach and wave conditions. Field and laboratory (small and large scale) data-derived runup models are assessed. Empirical models are assessed against different tide, beach and wave conditions. Two new models are created using regression analysis of existing model predictions. No one model performed better than any others considering the full range of conditions.
