The late Aptian paleotemperature records of Congo Basin are revealed by halite fluid inclusions homogenization temperature. The large-scale tachyhydrite and potash support the revealed high temperature in Congo Basin during the late Aptian. Significant cooling by about 5 °C in Congo Basin represents a region response to global climate cooling in the late Aptian.
