Particulate matter from metallic mining waste have adverse health effects for people. Atmospheric deposition connects the mining wastes with ecosystems and populations. Information about atmospheric deposition from metallic mining areas is limited. Annual deposition was higher than most of the areas under semi-arid conditions. The annual bulk deposition showed significant amounts of Zn, Mn, Cd, As and Pb.
