Little is known about the meanings and experiences of motherhood among Zimbabwean women in Australia. The paper provides conceptual understanding of the lived experiences of these migrant women. Women attempted to be a good mother amidst other difficulties due to their migrant status. Motherhood represented a symbol of power that helped women to deal with migrant life better. Findings can be used for midwives to make the motherhoode xperience of these women a positive one.
