Malaysia’s Halal Certification Procedures states that companies need to develop HAS. Perceived benefits on operational and market are not enough for HAS readiness. Firms that have traceability system in place are more ready for HAS implementation. Traceability mediates the connection between perceived benefits and HAS readiness. Systematic traceability is pertinent for a sustainable Halal Assurance System (HAS).
