We investigated the role of Rab7a in cell migration. We demonstrated that Rab7a depletion affects cell velocity and directness. Rab7a influences localization and trafficking of myosin X and β1-integrin. Rab7a affects activation of β1-integrin and Rac1. Rab7a silencing impacts on the reorganization of vimentin filaments during migration.
