Sixty Bacopa monnieri accessions were collected from wild habitats in South India. They were grown in Field Gene Bank/Experimental Plot for four generations. Bacoside A, Bacopaside I in these accessions were quantified by HPTLC-densitometry. Elite contents of Bacoside A + Bacopaside I in three accessions: 5.56, 6.55, 6.58%. Elite genotypes of B. monnieri could be multiplied for commercial purposes.
