By defining a suitable sliding surface, the proposed control law does not required reference voltage/current.

Robust stability of the proposed control system is assured.

Chattering amplitude of the controller is suppressed using state-dependent control magnitude.

Simulation and experimental results are used to evaluate the robustness of the proposed system.

The proposed controller can increase the efficiency up to 10%.
