Reflection on collaborative art projects can foster affective learning for midwifery students caring for parents experiencing perinatal death. Creative learning strategies that focus on women’s stories increase awareness and insight into the non-linear nature of the grieving process. Midwifery students should be facilitated to gain confidence in supporting bereaved parents with the necessary support structures.
