Cox/Li3Ti4Co1−xCrO12 was prepared by solid-state method under reducing atmosphere.

The Co modified samples showed excellent electrochemical performance.

The enhanced performance can be explained by the improved conductivities.

Oxygen vacancies were generated during the calcination under reducing atmosphere.

Oxygen vacancies are responsible for the promoted conductivities.
