A meta-analysis was conducted on the efficacy of IN-OT on schizophrenic symptoms. Eight RCTs were included in which schizophrenic patients were treated with IN-OT. We assessed reductions in negative, positive, and general psychopathology. Our results suggest that oxytocin does not improve any aspect of symptomology. We discuss these results in comparison with previous meta-analyses on this topic.
