Predictors of negative well-being related to father's and mother's unemployment were explored. Most of the adolescents perceive being affected by father's unemployment but not by their mother's. Negative well-being related to father's and mother's unemployment was higher on older boys and girls. Girls' lower SES and family satisfaction predict negative well-being related to parental unemployment. The findings are useful to tailor support actions for youth facing family unemployment.
