The thermodynamic and economic evaluation of power plant have been studied.

Saving and boosting modes are considered as the same solar field area.

Two modes of operation have been used and simulated on Libyan climate conditions.

The benefit/cost ratios are 1.74 and 1.30 for fuel saving and power boosting mode.

Fuel saving mode is more economical than power boosting mode.
