Benfuracarb (CAS RN. 82560-54-1), one of the most important insecticides, has outstanding insecticidal activity against a number of insects. Owing to its lower mammalian toxicity, benfuracarb is used as a foliar as well as a soil insecticide in the world. The acute oral and dermal LD₅₀ and inhalation LC₅₀ values of benfuracarb were 223 mg/kg, >2000 mg/kg, and 0.39 mg/L in rats, respectively.
