Betaine monohydrate-propionic/acetic acid mixture forms eutectic at molar ratio of 1:2. The strength of interactions between molecules were examined by thermodynamic and spectroscopy analysis. Betaine monohydrate-propionic acid eutectic mixture has greater strength of interaction between components. The strength of interactions between molecules at eutectic composition was greater than hyper-eutectic.
