A hybrid control strategy using both state feedback and parameter control is proposed. The Hopf bifurcation critical value can be changed and the chaos state can also be controlled. The direction and stability of bifurcating periodic solutions are determined. Remarkable agreement between simulations and calculated efficiencies is achieved.
