Enhanced electrochemical performance of polypyrrole coated MoS2 nanocomposites as electrode material for supercapacitor application

PPY/MoS2 nanocomposites were synthesized via in-situ polymerization method. The specific capacitance for PPY/MoS2 nanocomposite electrode was recorded up to 400 F/g. PPY/MoS2 nanocomposites resulted an energy density of the order of 8.88 Wh/kg. The capacitance value decreased by 7.2% of initial capacitance after 5000 cycles.
