Fusing pelB signal peptide was suitable for secretion xylanase to the culture medium. Additional arabinose was used as extra carbon source and inducer for enhancing extracellular production of xylanase. The xylanase was high pH stability (80%) over a broad pH range of 6.0–9.0 for 24 h. A high XOS production (8.7 mg/mL) of corncob was observed with extracellular xylanase.
