Characterization of an experimental bioactive sol-gel dental ceramic for fixed prosthetic restorations. The experimental ceramic presented no significant difference in flexural strength compared to the commercial one. The amount of blind pores due to processing of the experimental ceramic was greater than that of the commercial one.
