Endophytes inhibited pathogen via inhibitory compounds and competitive exclusion. BTF08 is compatible with host-plant with growth promoting effects towards calli. Calli produced substances that stimulated growth of BTF08 and GB. Endophyte-calli assay results are validated by endophyte-ramet test. P. citrinum BTF08 and T. asperellum T2 have most potential as biocontrol agents.
