A magnetically stabilized fluidized bed reactor (MSFBR) was used for biocatalysis.

Candida rugosa lipase was immobilized onto functionalized magnetic nanoparticles.

Immobilized lipase was used for biolubricant production from castor oil in the MSFBR.

Optimum conditions of castor oil methyl ester synthesis in the MSFBR were determined.

The experimental data were kinetically modeled using the ping-pong bi-bi mechanism.
