Lipases were successfully immobilized via interfacial activation on poly-methacrylate.

TLL–PMA was the most active biocatalyst in hydrolysis and esterification reactions.

TLL–PMA was effectively used in the synthesis of n-octyl oleate (biolubricant).

Maximum ester conversion around 95% was observed after 60 min of reaction.

The biocatalyst fully retained its original activity after 12 cycles of reaction.
