A new approach for the immobilization of poly(acrylic) acid as a chemically reactive cross-linker on the surface of poly(lactic) acid-based biomaterials

Method of poly(acrylic) acid immobilization on poly(lactic acid) surface was developed. New composite materials made of poly(lactic) and poly(acrylic) acid were produced. The capacity of the poly(acrylic) acid layer varied from 1.5 nmol/cm2 to 0.1 μmol/cm2. Produced composites were modified with protein (BSA) with high binding density.
