Evolutionary history of pollinators in Greater Cape Floristic Region investigated. Genetic patterns uncovered are congruent with the flowering plants of this area. The timing of diversification and biome occupancy parallels that of angiosperms. Strong signature of population expansion recovered in young Succulent Karoo biome.
