Construction of new 1D and 2D coordination polymers generated from rigid N,N′-bis(4-pyridylmethylene)-1,5-naphthalenediamine ligand: Syntheses, crystal structures and luminescence properties

Three new coordination polymers were synthesized based on rigid 4,4′-bipyridyl-based ligand and characterized. Thermal and luminescent properties of these compound were studied. Lead complex exhibits a long-lived emission band at room temperature. Copper complexes show intraligand luminescence characteristic peak. Changing of the metal ion strongly influences the luminescent properties.
