The growth of urchin-like Co3O4 directly on sensor substrate and its gas sensing properties

Urchin-like Co3O4 successfully grew on ceramic tube by a hydrothermal method. The dependence of the product morphology on reaction additives was investigated. The formation mechanism of urchin-like Co3O4 was proposed. The sensor with urchin-like Co3O4 growing directly on ceramic tubes exhibits higher response sensitivity than the sensors fabricated from other morphological Co3O4 or by traditional coating method.
