DE is a useful tool for 3D inversion of magnetic anomalies caused by prismatic bodies. DE provided satisfactory results for both small- and large-scale applications. Statistical tests based on PDF have demonstrated the efficiency of the algorithm. DE can be more widely used to solve a wide range of inverse problems in geophysics.
