Mango stone biocomposite preparation and application for crystal violet adsorption: A mechanistic study

Mango stone biomass was modified using ferric chloride and sodium borohydride. Prepared composite was employed for crystal violet adsorption. Pseudo-second order kinetic model exhibited the best fit with the experimental results. Langmuir isotherm was found most appropriate model for this study. Composite proved to be potential candidate for crystal violet adsorption and is extendable to real effluents.
