Heavy tungsten-based alloys contain W grains and intergranular binder phase. The W/W grain boundaries (GBs) are completely or partially wetted by the Ni-rich phase. Some of W/W GBs are pseudopartially wetted and not “dry”. They contain the ∼3 nm uniformly thin Ni-rich layer.
