We synthesized sialoglyco-nanoparticles using a spherical nanocluster backbone of sugar units.

Highly-branched α-glucuronic acid-linked cyclic dextrins were used in the backbone.

Particles display high-functionalization, low polydispersity and controlled diameter.

Sialoglyco-nanoparticles exhibited high affinity against human influenza virus hemagglutinin.
