The granular composites were fabricated by the sequential annealing mechanism. The method controls the porous characteristics and stable structure of materials. The breakthrough curve of Cs+ follows the Thomas model with a high removal rate. It is a probable for SM-AMP20 to recycle Cs+ using an eluent of 2–3 mol/L NH4NO3.
