Synthesis and characterization of physical, thermal and thermodynamic properties of ionic liquids based on [C12mim] and [N444H] cations for thermal energy storage

Density, speed of sound, viscosity, heat capacity, as a function of temperature, of six ILs. [N444H][Tf2N], [C12mim][Tf2N] and [C12mim][PF6] have a wide temperature range of chemical stability. Heat capacity values of [N444H][Tf2N], [C12mim][Tf2N] and [C12mim][PF6] they are among 1.3 and 1.8 (J g-1 K-1)at 100 °C. [C12mim][Tf2N] and [C12mim][PF6] present desirable properties to be used as heat thermal fluids.
