High Performance broad band anti-reflective coating (BARC) was developed by a facile synthesis of Ink-Bottle mesoporous MgF2 nanoparticles.

The nanoparticles were prepared by a unique route of deformation– reformation.

BARC showed high performance (100% T) in short range in visible region with an average transmittance >99% in entire visible region.

A net increase in efficiency of 6% achieved when c-Si solar cell is covered with AR coated plate.

BARC showed high environmental and thermal stability.
